Autumn is my favourite season. That sudden drop in temperature and excuse to throw on layers is something I’ve always loved!
I’ve been working with Very to showcase some of their Autumn fashion and have pulled together a few of my favourite bits below.
I have certain styles that suit me and in all honesty, low maintenance outfits are a big yes for me. I love a versatile item that can be worn in a variety of styles as well as being something that you can just chuck on and feel pretty good. I think effortless style is attractive. It’s meant I’ve often swayed to more classic looks and just grabbed trends that I love with little pressure to do anything else. Versatile clothing makes me feel confident as in a heartbeat I can pull an outfit together (not to mention providing me with the ability to throw something on and instantly feel good so I can run around after a 15 month old all day!). If it’s not practical, I’m not interested.
The Orange Jumper
The colour of this jumper is as autumnal as it gets. It’s cosy, oversized (which is needed with my autumn appetite) and lovely quality. You can wear with mom jeans thrown on in a rush but still feeling great thanks to that pop of gorgeous colour. I’ve also teamed it with some grey trousers and loafers for a casual work look as well as styling it with a midi skirt and boots (which are also Very) for a slightly dressier feel. A good versatile addition to any autumn wardrobe.

The Little Black Slouch
I don’t know about you but I like having an oversized black knit I can go to on any given day. It’s a classic look and so versatile. The slouchy off shoulder style of this jumper adds a bit of glam which gives it an edge whilst still maintaining a practical and wearable option for someone on the go. I’ve worn it as a lounge jumper for cosy indoor days, a nice alternative to a hoodie for active wear with a beanie (also from Very) as well as glamming it up for dinner out with jeans and boots (from Very.)

The Utility Jacket
I find Autumn a season of deception. You wake up and throw on all the layers and some days by lunch time you’re melting into your hot chocolate wondering what happened. A light jacket that goes with everything is always on my must haves. This khaki jacket has sleeves that can be rolled up and fits over a jumper as well as looking good with just a simple tee and jeans. You can smarten it up with skinny jeans and boots or wear it as a great seasonal stop gap between summer and winter for long walks.

Shoes and Accessories
Boots! You can’t beat a decent pair of black heeled boots that are comfortable. For me a good pair of boots is an autumn must have. These are a perfect heel for me being only 5ft 2 and sit low enough to not cut off my leg length. They go with skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, skirts, dresses and pretty much anything you might chuck on in autumn. Heels have to be comfortable too. Long gone are the days I’d sacrifice my feet for fashion and these beauties did not disappoint. You can also see me wearing the on TBN UK’s Christmas Special of Soul Tears.

As someone who is generally busy and lacking time to consider putting outfits together, I really advise learning what suits you and grabbing pieces you can wear with lots of things you already have. It saves stressing about what to wear (which life is far too short for) without compromising on you feeling your best self. I hope this has been helpful. I’d love to know your favourite look? Looking forward to showing you some more versatile looks in November.
Lots of Love
