This month has seen all the seasons hasn’t it! But weren’t we spoilt with the bank holiday weekend? It genuinely felt like we had been abroad and going back to work this week has been like a wet fish to the face! haha
We spent most the bank holiday outdoors which was so lovely, and despite the forecast of rain this week the sun has been fighting it’s way through so fingers crossed for a dry May. It’s just 2 weeks until my family cycle across the country and I’m praying for no rain or wind!
This month at Very I picked a range of items all centred around the fact Blighty has a mind of her own when it comes to spring weather. I’ve gone for some transitional pieces, some you can wear with a jacket and pumps like this dress, but also wear with flips flops and a straw hat pictured just below. This dress is an absolute bargain at just £20, especially with how versatile it is for all weathers. I sized up so it hung loosely over my hips and my body shape doesn’t suit a tight fit.
I have to say I’ve ordered a few pairs of jeans from Very during my partnership with them and the ‘very’ (pun intended) reasonably priced V by Very brand are such a great fit and wash really well. I will always be heading to this brand for jeans in the future as I have a mixture of boyfriend fit, girlfriend fit, cropped and fitted jeans and every single pair fits great. This ripped pair have a cool edge for summer I think. They are casual but with something about them, and again can be worn with a vest top pictured below or teamed with a sweatshirt which Very do a great selection of.
I find that no matter what the trends are, my love for a classic pair of chinos turned up and a Breton return year in year out and both items pictured below can be purchased for under £40. It’s rare to get such nice quality at that price for a whole outfit these days, especially when I find Instagram can be a little designer heavy, (which is fine but not always doable).
Accessories are always my favourite addition to some new staples as you can make an outfit look totally different with them and these bits below caught my eye this month. Classic but perfect for spring and summer too.
I hope you are enjoying the bits you’re seeing. I’ve linked them all below so you can add a few you like to your wardrobe. Is there anything you would like inspiration for outfit wise? I’d love to hear.
Have a fab weekend whatever you are doing and remember, we are just a week away from another bank holiday!
