In the run up to Christmas I’m usually frantically working away with it being my businesses busiest time of the year so anything that makes life easier is welcome! Part of something I love with Very is the wide variety of products available meaning a little ease is brought to my busy schedule.
Top of my list was new Christmas eve boxes. For those who don’t know, I am part of a split family and step mum to Kevin’s daughter Evie. For us, any many others out there, Christmas eve has a really special place in our calendar because it’s only something we experience all together every other year. For that reason, we make a big fuss of the her. This year is our turn (yay!) so I wanted to upgrade the box Evie used to have to get them one each.
I picked up these beauties which I loved because of how timeless they were. I can see the kids using them right into their teenage years (and no doubt beyond!). We don’t fill them with much. Tradition things like a decoration for the tree, some reindeer food and a key for Santa along with the obligatory Christmas film and some pjs. This year we have plans to see Santa and go ice skating in the day which will be really special and these little boxes will be waiting for them when we get home so we can cosy down and enjoy the evening together making memories before the big man comes down the chimney.
Being self employed I’ve not got a huge amount of partying in the calendar for December but I am one of those people who likes to have a ‘Christmas outfit’ and generally drag out the opportunity to dress up over the majority of the Christmas period. Having Freddie to run around after this year I didn’t fancy a Christmas dress so I opted for some trousers as alternatives to jeans. I particularly love the texture of these, they just have a slight luxury feel to them and I know I’ll wear them throughout the remainder of December. Are you a dressy Christmas Day person or is it pjs all the way?
